- What: Movie: Universal Picture’s Migration
- When: Friday, June 26, 7 pm.
PLEASE NOTE: If the weather is excessively hot, the movie will be moved indoors to air-conditioned, historic Bomberger Auditorium and start at 8 p.m. - Where: Ursinus College campus
- Directions and parking: Moviegoers should drive into the campus via E. Fifth Ave. behind the Collegeville Fire Company building (map it). Park around Corson Hall or in the lots near the Facilities building. There is handicapped parking in the Corson lots.
Families are invited to bring chairs and blankets and begin arriving at 7 p.m. to enjoy food and music! The movie starts at dusk, about 8:30 p.m.
Thirty minutes before the movie starts, the Community Music School will have faculty pianist Alan Dynin lead everyone in a sing-a-long of Disney movie songs while we wait for the movie to start!
Berman Museum of Art Family-Oriented Polaroid Workshop
Before the movie, families with kids of all ages are invited to stop inside the Berman Museum of Art for a free instant photography Polaroid Workshop. All supplies provided.
The workshop starts at 6 pm. Families can stop in at any time.
Learn the basics of Polaroid cameras and the fascinating process behind instant image development. Philadelphia-based photographer and educator Jaime Alvarez will guide you through the technical aspects while sharing insights into the artistic value of this unique medium.
In addition to the workshop, participants will take in the stunning photography on display in Enrique Bostelmann: Apertures and Borderscapes. These examples provide an opportunity to explore the broader world of visual storytelling and gain inspiration from a powerful artist.
Whether you’re a photography enthusiast or simply looking for a memorable family activity, this event promises enjoyment for all ages. Have fun exploring the medium, develop Polaroid images to take home with you, and enjoy Migration on the Berman Lawn after sunset.
