The Ursinus College Theater Department has teamed up with The Collegeville Economic Development Corp. (CEDC) to offer another “Dinner & a Show” promotion featuring Working, a musical adaptation of a work by Studs Terkel.

The musical Working celebrates the work and workers that are the lifeblood of our community. Originally staged in the 1970s, the musical is based on oral historian Studs Terkel’s influential book, Working: People Talk About What They Do All Day and How They Feel About What They Do. The Ursinus College Theater production will update the musical further by employing documentary theater techniques to interview our local workers and to use their words in our script. This unique production creates a fresh, personalized show honoring the workforce within our own community.
Directed by Professor of Theater, Domenick Scudera, with musical direction by Dr. Holly Hubbs, and choreography by Dr. Karen Clemente.
About this Dinner and Theater Event
Tickets for all shows are $10 general admission and $7 for seniors, students and Ursinus faculty and staff. Buy your tickets at Ursinus’ online box office.
When individuals buy their tickets, they are issued a receipt to show at the participating restaurant on the day of the performance to get the dinner special. Individuals also need to present their receipt at the Ursinus College box office to pick up their tickets. Theatergoers should arrive at the box office at least 15 minutes before the show begins.
NOTE: It is not necessary to participate in the dinner to attend the show.

It is highly recommended that theatergoers make reservations and arrive at the restaurant by 5:30 p.m. to enjoy a leisurely dinner and to allow enough time to get to the Ursinus campus.
