Collegeville Borough’s traditional tree lighting and Santa visit returns. The Collegeville Economic Development Corp. (CEDC) invites you to come out for a festive, family-friendly holiday evening! Masks requested to keep all our unvaccinated kids safe!
When & Where
- Date: This Saturday, Dec. 4
- Time: Starts at 4:15 p.m.
- Place: Trailhead parking lot at E. Third Ave. and Main St. across from the Collegeville Diner (Map it).
- Parking: Park on the street or in a nearby lot. But do not park in the former DaVinci’s parking lot or you risk being towed.
4:15 p.m. The Celebration Begins
Enjoy Christmas music and meet your neighbors while the kids enjoy a bouncy house and kids’ games. Mrs. Claus and Collegeville’s Mayor “Ace” will greet the guests.
4:30 p.m. Santa Arrives
Santa arrives on a Collegeville Fire Company Fire Truck! Mayor Ace will then start the countdown for the lighting of Collegeville’s now 30 ft. Christmas Tree. Santa will use magic to light the tree. Kids are invited to tell Santa what they want for Christmas from a safe distance while parents take photos.
5 p.m. Reception
Everyone is invited to walk down to the former DaVinci’s Pub (Now “Victoria’s on Main”) at 217 E. Main St. to warm up and enjoy a free reception. Hot chocolate and cookies will be available for the kids, and beer, wine, and non-alcoholic drinks and snacks will be available for adults.* Mrs. Claus will read the children holiday stories courtesy of the Perkiomen Valley Library. Children will also receive holiday coloring pages and crayons to create pictures to be given to the area’s shut-in seniors.
* Please note: “Victoria’s on Main” has not yet officially opened, so no dinners are available.
Following the “Victoria’s on Main” reception, please stop by one of Collegeville’s local restaurants to eat-in or take out dinner for your family!
