With 34 years of experience as a career stylist, and having worked closely with a number of talented colleagues along the way, Angela Lewis knew exactly what she wanted: to open her own salon—but with a difference.
And Angela, who lives in Collegeville, knew exactly where she wanted her first salon to be: “On Rt. 29 on the Collegeville side of the bridge.” So when she saw the vacant former SuperCuts space in the Collegeville Shopping Center, she knew that it was time to pursue her dream.
Angela’s vision was to reunite with her trusted, highly experienced colleagues who, like her, were passionate about outstanding customer service and excellent performance in hair care and styling. So after nine long months of planning and renovation, Angela reunited some of the best hair designers in the industry and opened Bella Persone Salon in February.
Angela’s Mom always knew someday that Angela would own her own salon, and quipped at the opening, “I’ve been waiting for 25 years to see you open your own place!”
Angela and colleagues Sue MacNeel, and Joanne Rosini believe that hair dressing should be elevated to an art, and wanted to revitalize the salon experience for their clients. Each stylist had significant experience from innovative salons which valued customer service, and each believed in the importance of continual education in the latest science of hair care, technology and color.
“Opening Bella Persone Salon with the three of us back together as a family is a dream come true,” says Angela, “We provide personal consultations and strive to provide great value to every one of our guests. Bella Persone means Beautiful People, and that is what we hope to achieve both professionally and spiritually, every single day.”
The salon offers cuts and color, hair styling, hair treatments, waxing and make up, and updos and other styling for special occasions. They also can help clients with disabilities and special needs, including providing wig care and make up for clients dealing with the effects of chemotherapy.
In addition to Angela, Sue and Joanne, the first Stylist to join the Bella Persone team was Regina DeGrazio, whom the trio knew from the Ultimate Image Salon where they had worked. Their staff also now includes New Talent Stylist Amber Perrone and Shampoo Associate Alexis Manieri, both of whom are currently training in Redken’s Principle-Based Design and Color. Rounding out the salon is Receptionist Janice Moore and Office Managers Sue Greer and Gabrielle Clerico. “Among us we have over 100 years of experience, and too many awards for our work to count,” says Angela
