Our Borough’s tree is lit and Santa arrives in Collegeville
On Saturday, December 7th, just before 5 pm, volunteer John Costello lit Collegeville’s 25-foot Christmas Tree in the Perkiomen Trail parking lot across from the Collegeville Diner. Then everyone gathered in DaVinci’s Pub for the arrival of Santa. Mayor Aidsand Wright-Riggins greeted the community, and at 5:15 pm Santa appeared on a Collegeville Fire Company truck. Santa and Mrs. Claus then met the children and posed for photos.
Our special thanks to DaVinci’s Pub for hosting our Visit from Santa and providing a complimentary Happy Hour. Thanks also to the Collegeville Fire Company for transporting Santa Claus to DaVinci’s. And finally, thanks to Santa and Mrs. Claus, Larry DiPiano and Karen McCaslin, and all the volunteers who came out in the cold at the end of November to decorate Collegeville’s Christmas tree: Jeff Wentworth, Robert Botti and his sons, John and Kathy Costello and their grandchildren, Sarah Steinbach, Val Beckius, and Cathy Kernen.
